This was the first abstract that I painted after seeing a lot of post-impressionist paintings and works by Gauguin, Kandinsky, August Macke and Franz Marc.
When it was exhibited in the Worcester Society of Artists Annual Exhibition at the Worcester Art Gallery, the reviewer said that she was worried by its sexual connotations.
Just as well she didn't see my painting of a kora!!
